Dear Ward 2 residents,

 

I'd like to give you a special update with a few important upcoming events coming up next week. There is a public consultation session coming up this Wednesday on Sept 27 regarding a new road design proposal for Apple Creak Bvld. I encourage you to find time to attend and give us your feedback and make sure the city hears what you think would work best for the residents.

 

Also, to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival. FCCM community centre at their King Square location will host a special celebration on Saturday Sept 30, 2-5pm. Students can participate by submitting their lantern design and winners can receive up to $300 as reward. I strongly recommend our students to participate this contest for fun and the prize money!

 

Lastly, please pay close attention to many upcoming community events hosted by Vibrant Markham Foundation. VMF President Cliff Chan is an instructor and engineer from Toronto Metropolitan University and will be providing our younger generations with many opportunities to learn and get involved with giving back to our community.
